Yes. The free trial runs for 7 days from the first time Hextion opens on your computer, with every page, template and sound included. No card or account is needed. When it ends, Hextion asks for a key and nothing is charged.

Hextion installs in After Effects 2022 (22.0) or newer, on Mac (Apple silicon and Intel) and 64-bit Windows. Version 1.0 has been tested in After Effects 2026, so the free trial is the easiest way to check yours. Templates use their exact fonts in After Effects 2024 or newer.

One key works on one computer. To move it, open Settings > Licence on the old computer and press Remove key here, then activate on the new one. A key bought on this site is freed at once.

Yes. Hextion checks your key with the shop about every 10 days and keeps working for up to 20 days between checks. The icon library needs one download, then it works offline too.

Yes. What you make with Hextion can go into your own and your clients' paid projects, without credit. Sharing or reselling Hextion itself, its templates or your key isn't allowed.

In the receipt email from the shop you bought from. If you bought on this site, it's also shown on the page you land on after paying. Can't find it? Check your spam folder, then write to support@gethextion.com from the email you paid with.

Not from me. Transcription runs on your own pay-as-you-go account with the supported speech-to-text service, and that service bills you for the minutes you use. Importing an SRT or VTT file is free, works in any language and needs no key. Auto captions also need the free ffmpeg.

No. The panel only works when you click it. What lands in your comp is ordinary layers, keyframes and sliders, and the In this comp switch on the Effects page turns heavy effects off for smooth playback.

Hextion asks for a licence key. Nothing is charged and nothing renews. Everything you built stays in your projects as normal layers.

Every future update is free for everyone who bought a licence, version 2 and later included. You pay once and keep getting new versions.

Hextion isn't signed with an Apple or Microsoft developer certificate yet, so macOS asks you to confirm in Privacy & Security and Windows shows "protected your PC". The install guide shows both clicks.

No. It goes online only to check your licence, to download the icon library once, and to send audio to the speech-to-text service (named in the privacy policy) when you run auto captions with your own key. No analytics or crash reports. Read the privacy policy.

Hextion is built for After Effects and Premiere Pro support has not been tested yet. All 21+ grades are in the download as .cube files that load in Lumetri.

Yes. The 300+ Hextion Sounds on the Media page are Hextion's own, and you can use them in your own and your clients' paid projects.
